FY26 Evaluator Retraining Opportunities

AA#4114 - Using Student Growth Data from Diverse Populations in Teacher Performance Evaluation (for retraining in the area of student growth) 
April 17, 2026
This one-day course focuses on understanding implicit bias, differentiating for equity, and coaching more deeply when evaluating student growth for special education, English learners, and early childhood students.Upon successful completion, the individual will have satisfied the requirement for retraining in student growth. This AA must be paired with one of the AAs focused on professional practice to fulfill the entire retraining requirements. ((AA1448, 1451, 1452, OR 1801)

AA#1452 - Designing Data Driven Professional Development Based on Summative Evaluation 
April 22, 2026
This one-day course is for retraining of teacher evaluators in the area of professional practice. This academy is for those who evaluate TEACHERS. This is an evaluator retraining academy for those who evaluate TEACHERS. This AA must be paired with one of the AA’s focused on student growth to fulfill the entire retraining requirements. (AA4114 or AA3000)

AA#4050 - Performance Eval Initial & Retraining Principals & Asst Principals Beginning July 1, 2024 
June 24th AND June 25, 2026
This is the ISBE-required two-day course for those wishing to be able to evaluate Principals and Assistant Principals, AND the required refresher course for those that already have the credential.

Other Administrator Academies Offered

Instructional Specialist Sara Swartz will present this virtual course designed to support school leaders in understanding the effects of burnout and compassion fatigue that their staff may encounter as the first responders to student trauma. 
 
AA#2001 - Initial Teacher Evaluator Training
This two-day Academy is designed for individuals who are seeking the Initial Training Qualification for Teacher Evaluation. All new teacher evaluators in Illinois will need to pass AA#2001 on the topic of Initial Teacher Evaluation training. This training replaces the existing initial teacher evaluation training provided through Growth Through Learning CEC & TeachScape and aligns to the competencies for Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b). We do not offer this training locally but options are linked below.
