  1. Create an ELIS account- click here
  2. Be at least 19 years of age and;
  3. Show proof of one (1) of the following requirements:
    1. Associate's degree or higher; or
    2. 60 semester hours of coursework; or
    3. High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS ParaPro test; or
    4. High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Work Keys test:
      • Applied Mathematics/Applied Math — 4
      • Reading for Information/Workplace Documents — 4
  4. Once all requirements and documents have been received and uploaded by the ROE to your ELIS account you can apply for the Paraprofessional License- click here for detailed instruction



Paraprofessional testing is an online test, consisting of 90 questions, broken down into three categories, 30 questions each of Reading, Math and Writing/Grammar.  The tester has 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the test.

Each tester receives paper and pencil to work out problems to the questions.  It is encouraged to review the links at the bottom of the page prior to taking the test.



When you come in for the test please bring with you:

  • Your high school diploma or high school transcripts
  • A photo ID
  • $100 cash or check
